The effectiveness of a rhetorical essay can be determined in many ways; by the content it has, arguments and claims it makes, or to whom and what environment the reader is reading. There are many other factors more than an information itself the essay brings. There are two rhetorical videos talking about topics that are sensitive, but still essential to be told. Guggenheim s 2010 documentary ‘Waiting for Superman,’ a film about the failures of American public education sparked controversy and debate. Guggenheim knew his film would lead to this and said, I know people will say this movie is anti-this or pro-that. But it really is all about families trying to find great schools. This film received the Audience Award for best documentary at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. This movie was supported by the life of actual students living in east and west coast of the United States, building rhetorical strategies of ethos and pathos. As education is one of the most important factors that determines the level of the nation, that should be equally provided and guaranteed by the constitution, audience of the video can be anyone who is interested in current education system. ‘Inequality for all’ by Jacob Kornbluth mainly claims that the wealth and properties of the nation are unequally distributed.
